I'm Elizabeth. Age 31. I live in Southern California (particularly in the small desert community of Joshua Tree.) This is my Saturday, a day of grocery trips and other stores.
I am missing the very first things I did this morning, because I wasn't going to document the day. I missed the 1st because I had a headache though, so this was a good redo. Kylie sent me this facebook message and encouraged me to document the day with her. What you missed is me getting up, drinking coffee, feeding the pets, and messing around on the computer.
The first task for a Saturday is to go grocery shopping.
I load up with groceries for the week. I get Violet a doughnut.
After I put the groceries away, doggy needs to use the bathroom. When he comes back in he gets a cookie.
Saturday is also laundry day.
I sit for a little bit with this girl.
And I fill in the ibotta app to get about $3 back from the grocery shop.
I look through the magazine I bought. There's some package wrapping ideas I'm going to steal and some Christmas tree decorating ideas I like too - fake flowers in the tree!
Justin makes us bacon and eggs for brunch.
Violet wanted to go shopping for crystals so we go to a store in Twentynine Palms called Mojave Sol.
And I send this picture to her dad.
We don't find what she was looking for so we go to the store in Yucca Valley called Rainbow Stew. She loves all the tarot cards, but we also don't find what we were looking for.
We come home and get Justin and stick Checkers outside.
Justin drives us down the hill to Palm Desert.
Because it's time for our biweekly Costco trip.
We stock up. Tritip, A-1 sauce, new shoes for Justin, vinegar, toilet paper, breakfast bars, frozen chicken, herbal tea, chicken tortilla soup, and garbage bags.
Justin and Violet get us sodas for the drive back.
And then we drive home passed the windmills.
After we get the groceries away, Justin makes a bomb marinade for the tritip.
I fold some of the laundry.
At about 5:30 I feed the cat and the dog.
I play around on the computer for a bit.
By about 6:30 dinner is ready! I make the spinach salad. Justin made the meat. It was perfect.
Dinner is followed by a shower.
Then I curl up with Violet and read a book.
As I'm reading I decide we should make some of the tea we bought at Costco. Justin and I both have a cup. It also helps some of his asthma wheezing.
At about 9 I'm ready to call it a day. I take the dog out to pee. And then I tuck Violet in.
Right before bed I check my poshmark account and see that I just sold an ugly Christmas sweater. Yay!
Then I read a little more.
And this is the last thing I see before I turn off the lights.
