Many things have changed since my last glimpse. I have the same job, but just last week I was transferred to a new office. The commute is an hour and a half, so alas, I have to wake up way earlier than I had been.
The first thing I do when I wake up is turn the heat up to take the chill off the house.
Then I take Checkers out to do his potty thing.
I read for a little bit. I'm reading The Shoemaker's Wife. I'm having trouble making progress on it but I'm too far to stop.
At 5:50 it's "get ready time." I wash my fine, brush my teeth, do my face, put clothes on.
And by 6:15 I'm in the car with my coffee to go.
I get to the office about 7:45. I sit in the car for a few minutes and talk to my mom. We talk every morning.
I make a pitstop in the bathroom before I make it in the office.
And once I do get in I have my breakfast - another cup of coffee in my favorite coffee mug and a banana.
Between 8:30 and 9:30 I'm in court. This is an incredibly blurry picture of a portion of my notes.
I get back into my office. I'm not used to having so much office time. In the office I had been in, I'd be in court through the afternoon daily. I'm not used to having time to sit down and put into my cases like this.
During the morning I make a transcript of the recording from a police officer's audio device in one my cases.
Come lunch time, I have some errands to run. I drop a swimsuit I had purchased but was damaged off at FedEx and then go to USPS and mail a jacket I sold on poshmark.
I also decide to scope out the Marshall's. I'm unimpressed. I also check out DD's and am equally unimpressed. I was surprised because the local Marshall's is my favorite place to shop.
I was going to get Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch, but I spent too much time goofing off. McDonalds drive-thru is on the way back to the office.
I eat my chicken sandwich and fries.
In the afternoon I finish up the first draft of the transcript and do some legal research on car searches.
In the afternoon I need a pick-me-up. Randy's daughter is selling these, so I buy one and devour it.
At 3:45 I get back in my car to beat the traffic. Time to go home.
Before I go I check the gas prices near home. I need a fill up, but want the cheapest option. This commute is expensive.
I get the cheapest gas in Yucca Valley.
When I get home I let the dog in.
I do some yoga.
Checkers does yoga too.
I shower to get the yuck off.
I put a fresh pair of leggings on.
I fold some laundry from the weekend.
Isabelle and Checkers both get fed.
I dry my hair.
I cook dinner and have a glass of wine. (I am not really naked.)
Dinner tonight is homemade cream of mushroom soup.
While I eat I watch Younger on Hulu.
Around 8:15 Justin gets home. He eats his dinner and plays some WOW.
Isabelle helps me crochet.
It's getting late, but I want ice cream.
Justin's daughter Violet texts me.
At about 9:30 I start getting ready for bed and wash my face, brush my teeth, etc.
Checkers follows me into the room at bedtime.
Justin comes in and we chat a little bit, but he's not tired yet since he got home so late. I pass out.
