My alarm rang at 6:15am, and at first I felt lazy and just switched off its ringing, but it got a little too warm. I didn't switch on the aircon the previous night, instead, relying on that small fan, which wasn't that bad. Having it blow just a bit off the trajectory to me so I can still feel the air circulation, but the wind not blowing at me.
I agree with the thought that "I'm going to mess up the bed tonight again, so why make it?" And I also agree with the thought that "A made up bed is so nice", and I'm usually either one or the other LOL. Today, I'm of the make the bed mentality. I also prepare my bag for work. I'm bringing a book with me because it's the last of my suggested books in thestoryinside group. I like dead tree books, but having to lug one around is indeed... a deterrent...
Frankie gets excited and comes asking for belly rubs! Eventually, we get all the dogs ready and off we go... Morning Dog Walk!
I can see already it's gonna be a beautiful day! Why do I have to go to work?
The cotton-fruit tree (whatever it's really called) is producing a good lot of cotton. It's all over the dog park. Is it even safe for dogs?
Breakfast! And not only is lugging a dead tree book inconvenient, for eating too. I wasn't able to read anything over breakfast as I couldn't keep the book open and flip pages on one hand. This is where a Kindle or an e-reader would be helpful, I reckon.
I head off to work. Still blue skies. And it was damn hot where the sun shined. So, I had to walk along the shades.
Loads of email crap to sort out! There isn't much I can show you at work, so, yeah. The morning was spent doing my mailbox housekeeping and sorting out a few requests and approvals. I also look out my boss' window and continue to think what I'm doing there hahaha!
I gave up trying to read the dead tree book over lunch. Instead, I let Facebook loop a few stupid videos (and how were those related to what I like?)
Had a short off-site stint that I shan't divulge about, apart from the fact that I had to go get it done, so again, no photos. Until much much later, at around 4 or 5ish, when I left the office to walk a document to another department. I could have waited for the courier, but I wanted a reason to stretch my legs, so, I decided to deliver the document myself.
I had hoped to get off work at 6pm, so that I could get home at 6.30pm and then go for a run, and then dinner and doggies night walk. But nay. For some reason, Boss didn't leave the office, so I stayed and only left at 7pm.
It was still a pleasant walk home, but bummer that I couldn't go on a run. Frankie welcomes me home!
Meanwhile, Menina slept so hard, I had to poke her for her to wake up!
Dinner is interesting. Hash browns and mashed potatoes. There's a burger patty beneath the sunny side up. Doesn't that feel more like breakfast? Dad, what are you doing?
After the human dinner, it's the night dog walk!
And then the doggie dinner!
So Sai Lup is now shedding like a... whatever other breed of dog that sheds like mad. Also, I bought this Vetcare thingie that's supposed to help his long-term injury (torn cruciate ligament), so I'm trying to be the good dog mom and give him the treatment daily.
Time to clean up the kitty sandbox. Immediately after I cleaned it out, Nutmeg the kitty went in again.
While I wait for the shower to be free, I write up my journal entry for today, so that I can forget about it and hopefully I can keep doing stuff like this in the following years and later make this an interesting book!
After my shower, I do my nighttime routine and pull out the red light for my right leg. I guess after sitting cross-legged on the ground fixing Sai Lup up, my right knee got really stiff and I was having difficulty getting up and down. I can also feel my knee slightly loosened up. AND I finally started to read the book I'm supposedly reading.
After that, it's just more reading and soon it's off to bed!
